The end of the school year has historically been a busy, yet exciting time. Students are receiving their graduation gowns, teachers are facilitating final exams, and administrators are planning for summer programs and teeing up initiatives for the next school year. This year, the coronavirus outbreak has undoubtedly impacted the way the school year will end for most schools and districts.

As many educators close out the school year with remote instruction, teachers and administrators are faced with new questions:

• Is online instruction impacting student learning?
• Do I have the resources I need for the next school year?
• What tools and support can I provide to teachers to help them monitor student progress?
• How will I know if my new initiatives and programs are successful?

Join us on May 12, 2020 to learn how your data from various education systems (e.g., SIS, devices) can inform your short- and long-term strategic plans and answer many of these questions.

Speaker Chris Graves, Senior Manager of the Data and Analytics Management Team at Shelby County Schools (Memphis, Tennessee), will share how their district uses data analytics to drive decision-making and how they are planning for the upcoming school year.

After the 1-hour session, you will walk away with the following:

• Ways your education data can inform your school and district strategic plans
• Strategies for facilitating data-driven decision-making

Upon adopting a Performance Excellence Framework four years ago, Susquehanna Township School District (STSD) developed a series of goals around student success and postsecondary achievement. In order for the district’s Superintendent, Dr. Tamara Willis, to track and report on the progress toward goals, they needed access to comprehensive and up-to-date data from across the organization. Dr. Willis sought the help of the district’s Data Supervisor, Pat Raugh. Raugh and his team had just finished an arduous six-month data migration to a new SIS, and they were nervous to take on another data transfer. The team quickly learned that with the right tools and support, data management can be a seamless and efficient process.

View the interactive journey to learn how STSD harnessed the power of data to create positive trajectories for all students.

Identifying students at risk of dropping out is no easy task. Each student has unique needs, and it can be a challenge to provide the right support, at the right time. Threshold dropout prevention models often use a “one-size-fits-all” approach, and begin to identify at-risk students late in their academic career, often after a student has become disengaged with school.

Next generation predictive analytic models measure risk factors based on each district’s actual data and historical graduation rates. This model creates a personalized risk profile for each student, within each district, and identifies at-risk students as early as first grade, with 94% accuracy.

Download our engaging infographic to discover the significance of predictive analytics, and view the vast diversity between risk indicators across grade levels.
